Back in 2003, the University Of California San Diego Recreation Department and Mark T. Sebastian realized they could help each other out.

UC San Diego Recreation was getting frustrated with its point of sale and website software solutions. Mark, an instructor for the department, and an experienced software developer in his own right, realized he could build something better than what UCSD currently had.

They started talking, and Triton Rec Systems emerged out of several years of hard work and collaboration.
